![]() Brake canceling still works as it did before in 6/7, but it felt like greater steering input was required to initiate the drift. Turning too hard scrubs off speed pretty severely (though that might just be the low spec cars), and drifting successfully still provides a little extra acceleration on exit. Launching at the start had some more prominent wheelspin, so the 1-2 shift was a little more tricky. As for the physics, they feel like a slight improvement over version 7 with a somewhat lower steering sensitivity. It wasn't clear if the amount of water remaining was relevant or provided a bonus, but I did get the option to add it to my HUD from that point forward after completing the stage. I made it with about 3/4 of the cup intact. As far as I could tell, it only splashed out when you hit walls, so it wasn't too difficult. ![]() I had to complete the stage within the time limit without spilling all the water. The cup of water appeared on the 3rd stage. They were kind enough to crank up the point earnings to where I completed Spec 3 after 4 races. Car tuning is about the same as before (but with the added option of purchasing with D Coin). The turns now have little yellow or red HUD pop-up symbols as pictured. The story cutscenes looked a little better animated. Menu system and basic game structure almost entirely similar to 6/7 With the long lines and Stage 7 readily available elsewhere, I only raced 4 times.
